Summary of Project:
We have set up this fund after coming back from an amazing and humbling trip to visit the villagers of Patale in a remote region of Nepal near Mt. Everest. There are no roads to Patale and it takes an airplane ride from Khathmandu and then a three day hike to reach it. The purpose of our trip was to replenish the medical supplies for the health post in the village and also to visit two schools in the area.
Total Funding Goal: $11,200 USD We are asking for your contribution of $25 or more to go towards helping some of the villagers who would benefit most. So that they can have the kind of future they deserve.

How You Can Help: - $25 helps assist with basic healthcare needs

Why This Project Matters:
Our trip was an eye opening experience that showed us the need for basic necessities that we in more developed countries take for granted. Because of the remoteness of this region, the government is slow to help if they help at all. We saw a lot of need for health and education that simply does not reach this region.

More Information About This Project:
 Nima Tamang: Help sponsor Nima's healthcare. She was born without ears. Your donation helps pay for transport to the school for the deaf; 1 year of tuition, books, uniforms and food at the school; 1 year of hostel expenses; and transport back to the village at the end of the school year. Total Expenses: $2,300 USD
Pasang Sherpa: Help sponsor Pasang's healthcare. He has a broken leg. Your donation helps pay for transport to his initial doctor appointment; xrays; 2 orthopedic surgeris; follow-up appointments, therapy, and medication; all for 1 year. Total Expenses: $6,800 USD
Baby Jane: Help sponsor Baby Jane's healthcare. Unsure how, but this baby's toes were burned off. Your donation helps pay for medical care such as transport of the family to an initial appointment with doctors; fitting for prosthetic shoes; purchase the shoes; physiotherapy appointment; and transport family back to the village. This entire process will probably take one month. Total Expenses: $400 USD
Pasi Sherpa: Help sponsor Pasi's education. Pasi is a health clinic worker who wants to become a nurse so she can help deliver babies. Your donation helps pay for her and her young baby to transport to Kathmandu; 6 months of school; 2 months of practice in Kathmandu; hostel for Pasi while in school; and then transport back to her village. This entire process will take about eight months. Total Expenses: $1,700 USD
